It's time for the 15th reveal of the Art Jewelry Elements Earring Challenge!
My earrings for week 29 are made with a lovely pair of Ellen Dooley's electroformed poppy crowns and some of her handmade lampwork beads, all wrapped up with copper wire.
For week 30, something a little different. Little turtle ponds made with
circles of water color paper, water color paint, clear acrylic coating
and Vintaj brass turtle charms, lightly patined. And, because I can't
leave well enough alone, I hammered around the edges of the paper, just a
tad. I wanted to soften the edges some, but gave them a ragged look.
The idea for these came from my granddaughter telling me that my water color circles looked like little ponds and I just happened to have the turtle charms in my bead stash.
Visit the Art Jewelry Elements blog to see all of the Earring Challenge participants designs.
Enjoy your week!
Hard to believe it is already August! Love these two pair, Kym (well you know I am partial to your creations with unique components!)
ReplyDeleteI love both pairs, but the paper is so cool. Granddaughters have great ideas!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. I love how you wrapped the copper between the beads on the first pair! The water color circles do look like ponds. How fun that your granddaughter realized that!
