I Heart Macro 06/03/2012

Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks.  I have really missed it, but after being on the computer 9 - 10 hours at work, the last thing I want to do when I get home is get back on the computer.  I do try to read a few of my favorite blogs while I eat breakfast each morning and I have been so inspired lately.  I've been working on some pieces and will try to get some pictures posted soon.

We have a rouge grapevine that keeps popping up in a bed by our front steps.  I have tried everything to discourage it's growth, but alas, it appears again each year.  Today I was walking in from a trip to the store, looked down and instead of the usual frustration, I saw beauty in the little fuzzy little leaves and curly red tendrils.  After putting away the groceries, I decided to collect specimens for my I Heart Macro shots.

Can you see the upside down heart in the tendril?

Today I'm joining Lori Plyler of Studio Waterstone for "I Heart Macro" slash "I Heart Close Ups: Up Close Photography for Macro Makers and the Camerologically Challenged".

  1. It's very pretty even if it is a nuisance!

  2. Love that bright red tendril.

  3. Hahaha "Rouge Grapevine" ....fertilize me or I'll trip you on the way to the garbage! lol Love that little heart! Sweet shots!

  4. All great shots, mom! Did you put the heart there or notice it after you took the photo? Awesome touch :)

    1. Thank you, Sweetie! I noticed the heart when I was editing the pictures.

Your dad and I just got back from seeing The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It's a very good movie. We had to go eat at Chaat Cafe afterward :-) It was yummy!

  5. These are some really great shots!! The colors are so vibrant, too!!

  6. Love these shots! And I hear the same from my husband who avoids the computer at all costs in the evenings. :)
