7000 Bracelets for Hope

Last year I participated in Lori Anderson's blog hop for 7000 Bracelets for Hope, but this year I missed the deadline for the blog hop hosted by Erin Fickert-Rowland of Elysian Studios and Christine of One-Kiss Creations.

This is a wonderful campaign hosted by The Global Genes Project, to raise awareness and help show support for kids suffering from rare disease and disorders.

I found that I have an over abundance of blue beads and had a hard time choosing which to use, so this year I have three bracelets that I am donating to the campaign.

Blue pearls, Swarovski crystals and Vintaj brass findings.

Blue Agate beads, handmade focal, gun metal plated chain and findings

Blue faceted Lucite beads, silver plated charm, textured chain and findings

If you are a jewelry designer, please click on the button above for information on how you can participate in this worth while campaign.

Have a wonderful week!

I Heart Macro 02/19/2012

studio waterstone

I'm joining Lori Plyler of Studio Waterstone for "I Heart Macro" slash "I Heart Close Ups: Up Close Photography for Macro Makers and the Camerologically Challenged".  Please click on the link above to view photos by other participants, or to add your own macro photo.

This week I'm sharing pictures of the beautiful roses that my kiddos sent me for Valentines Day.

The roses have opened up so beautifully and I love the variety of colors in the bouquet!  I usually receive a bouquet of one color, so this was a special treat.  I know this may seem boring, but the white roses are my favorite.  They're just so elegant and pure.

As you can see, I've also been playing with Picnik.  Did you guys know that the site is going away in April?  Until then, everyone has free access to their premium package, so I've been doing a lot of playing around with my pictures.

I've been working on some bracelets for 7000 Bracelets for Hope.  It's such a wonderful project and I participated in Lori Anderson's blog hop last year. This year I didn't register in time to participate with any blog hops, but I'll post pictures of the bracelets I'm sending for the project.

Be blessed and have a wonderful week!

Bead Soup is Ready!

This is my first Bead Soup Blog Party and I'm so glad that I signed up to participate!  I have enjoyed meeting new people, reading everyone's blogs and seeing the wonderful beads that have been exchanged over the last month.  Thank you Lori Anderson for working so hard to make this blog hop fun and successful!

My BSBP partner, Laura Sanger, sent me some beautiful beads in colors that are perfect for fall, which is fast approaching.  Be sure to visit Laura's blog to see what she created with the beads that I sent her.

Laura sent me so many beads that I was able to make several pieces and still have beads left over!

I used the carved bone focal and the floral clasp in this necklace.  The necklace also includes some large faux Amber beads, copper spacers and beautiful red fire-opal crystals beads, that Laura sent.

I made two pair of earrings, one pair with some Czech glass stars and multicolor crystal bicones.

The other pair are made with these lovely carved bone tube beads and crystal rondelle beads.

I used a mix of Goldstone rounds, tiger eye rounds, Carnelian chips and the seed beads and wire wrapped them over a wooden bangle that was wrapped in orange and red plaid silk ribbon.

Please visit all of the participants blogs by clicking on the links below.

These are the partner pairs.
